Utilizing compression-molded silicone rubber with conductive carbon pills on rubber plungers, a rubber keypad membrane switch is manufactured. These rubber switches undergo compression molding to form an angled web structure around the key's center.
Upon pressing a key, the webbing surrounding the switch compresses or deforms, delivering a tactile response. Releasing the key pressure causes the webbing to spring back to its initial form, offering clear feedback. The closure of the switch circuit happens as the conductive pill or printed conductive ink connects with the lower circuit layer.
